About

I’m a compassionate and curious leader bringing an artistic mindset to navigate the unknown. Trained as an Art Historian and tested in global retail, I approach systems and organizations with creativity and flexibility. I’m at my best when I’m facilitating teams with diverse skill sets and backgrounds.

After completing a MS in Strategic Design and Management from Parsons School of Design, I turned my focus to human-centered technology. In my current position, as an Innovation and Design Strategist at Oracle, I bring a focus on human needs and holistic thinking to Cloud implementation .

At Parsons, I also serve as a Fellow at the Center for Transformative Media and as a Teaching Associate for the School of Design Strategies. Additionally, I work as a Business Analyst for Paradox Strategies, an innovation consulting company founded by Harvard Business School Professor Linda Hill.

I awake each morning torn between a desire to save the world and a desire to savor the world. This makes it hard to plan my day.

In the past, I helped Nanette Lepore, a New York based fashion business, enter international markets and find financial partners. To do it, I lead brand strategy, launching social media and digital marketing campaigns, replatforming eCommerce, and art directing photo shoots and runway shows. In two years working in Asia, I helped rebrand and launch a cycling brand in the Korean market, reimagining the product and securing distribution partners. I also provided strategic direction for a legendary Thai fashion brand looking to establish a global footprint online. I also made 28 mens shirts with incredible traditional textiles from small villages from 5 countries. Back in New York, I also worked at the advertising agency Havas as a Customer Experience Designer. I served as a broker between creative technologists and traditional strategists, marrying technological innovation and business demands to serve deep human needs. In November, I presented my innovation project with Citi Ventures at Yale University, as part of the Design Observer Conference.

When I’m not scheming to bring the world closer together, I’m looking at old maps or hosting weird dinner parties.

Nice things from people I’ve worked with

“I am very lucky to have had Jimmy as a manager and mentor. A brilliant communicator… Jimmy can swiftly get everyone on his team on the same page while encouraging creative and meaningful collaboration.” Claire Geist, Senior Data Scientist Clarifai

“Jimmy has the innovative vision, electric passion and contagious work ethic unlike anyone I’ve ever worked with – always pushing above and beyond expectations to deliver on his word and motivate those around him to follow his lead. He’s a holistic thinker, always considerate of all outcomes of situations from a global view” Nicole Loher, Marketing & Partnerships, Research at Microsoft, NYU Adjunct in Social Media & Marketing

“I spent time with Jimmy in 2014 and 2015 in restructuring the company he was working for at the time. He was a vital part of the turnaround functions as well as an important part of a sale and licensing transaction. He participated in the business logistics of overhead and cash flow management and developed the framework of financial projections that were used to complete the transaction. His ability to absorb concepts and turn them into actions, in a complex environment, was admirable. Jimmy is someone I will remember working with.” Erwin Isman, Senior Managing Partner at Insight Partners, LLC

“Jimmy was my manager at Nanette Lepore and was an incredible mentor, leader and all around positive influence. Beyond being highly personable and a joy to work for/with, he seemingly effortlessly straddled both the creative and the analytical aspects of the job. His understanding of the digital landscape and ability to test and learn was a significant quality, at a time when most fashion houses were skeptical to dip their toe in the water.”  Arushi Khosla, Lead Client Analytics at CHANEL
